1941 1.5 Ton Ford Truck Found Hiding In the Woods
A season barn find hunter recently struck gold when he found this cool old Blue Oval hauler in the woods.
Nice Find
Barn finds are all the rage these days as even classic pickups - long ignored by collectors - have become hot items. But this poor old 1941 1.5-ton Ford truck wasn't just hiding in some barn or other structure - it was found abandoned sitting in the woods of rural Kansas, where Chad Ehrlich of Nobody Else's Auto in Great Bend found it and subsequently saved it, according to Hot Rod.

Complicated Process
According to Ehrlich, this old Ford had been sitting in the woods for decades, to the point where it was surrounded by seriously heavy brush and hidden from view. Somehow, however, the truck held up surprisingly well over those years, though Ehrlich needed a chainsaw and an excavator to free it from its long-term home, as trees had already grown up through the frame.

Old Farm Truck
This particular pickup had previously been used as a winch truck and was found with a homemade rig in the rear for such duties. There were quite a few old tools sitting in the cab as well, and there's a spotlight mounted on the roof that came from a General Motors product, too.

Solid Shape
Aside from a few dents and dings and a rotted-away interior, this 1941 Ford is a prime candidate for a restoration or hot rod project. Part of the front grille is missing, but the cab and front clip are otherwise intact and in solid shape.

Amazing Shape
There isn't even a ton of rust on this old hauler, which is pretty amazing considering how long it's been subjected to inclement weather. Overall, it's a fantastic project and one heck of a great find, and we're obviously giddy to see this classic saved and back on (or close to) the road again.
