10 Wild Fords from SEMA 2023!
From modern to classic, from F-Series to Bronco and Mustang, here are ten of the craziest, wildest, funniest, and coolest Fords from SEMA 2023.
Intro
SEMA 2023 is here and that means there are plenty of incredible Ford vehicles to drool over. There are custom Ford pickups, SUVs and sports cars. Some of these are wild, some are weird, and all of them are ambitious. But we capped it to just ten of our favorites. Not an easy task considering all the amazing vehicles. No one ever said our job was easy. Read on to see the ten wildest Fords we saw at SEMA.
(BTW, if you own any of these, feel free to contact us and we'd be happy to tell more of your story. Cheers!)
10. Blue 3rd Gen Bronco (TIS Off-Road Booth)
TIS Off-Road knocked it out of the park this year, bringing together a wide range of amazing Fords to show off their wheels and tires. Here is another one of their builds. This time we have an electric blue third-generation Bronco sitting proud on a set of their new TIS Off-Road custom wheels. This is a clean and tidy (massive-yet-mini) truck that we would gladly drive home ourselves. Extra kudos for the body-color-matched axles and other suspension components.
9. Bodyguard Bumpers F-450
This truck just looks like a rolling vault. The silver paint, bumpers, and wheels make this thing look powerful. It is a tastefully modified F-450. What else really needs to be said?

8. Family Truckster Tribute
Ford's Country Squire Wagon turned into a monstrosity for one of the funniest movies ever made. How can we not have the Wagon Queen Family Truckster tribute vehicle on this list? If you don’t know what this car is all about, you need to examine your life decisions. This is one of the most iconic movie cars ever. We love that we could see it here in Las Vegas before it heads out to Walley World.
7. B is for Build GT500 Tribute
You would never know to look at it, but this car started life as a 2019 Mustang GT. The entire body was cut off of it and replaced with a 1967 Mustang Fastback body. The team then fabricated the bumpers and other bits as a nod to the GT500 and GT350 models. The car also got a new interior, suspension, wheels, tires, and so much more. It is still a bit rough around the edges, but all this work was done in just about one month, so if the B-is-for-Build crew keep working on it, we'll give them a pass for the SEMA-rush. Plus, given the history of this build (the first attempt was legally confiscated by someone who was enforcing a copyright claim that they have since lost in the court system), it's just great to see a dream car come together.
6. Saleen Black Label
If you want a Ford sport truck then you want to turn to the folks at Saleen. They had this lovely Black Label sport truck on display at SEMA this year. These Black Label trucks boast 775 horsepower thanks to a supercharged 5.0L V-8 engine. Keeping you planted is a Racecraft suspension as well as many aerodynamic parts. This is a good-looking truck with the performance to back it up.
5. EJS Customs 2023 Super Duty
If you like a bit more glitz to go with your brawn then you will like this Super Duty Dually as much as we do. Take an F-450 and give it a 10-inch suspension lift and there isn’t much it can’t handle. But as capable as it is, you may never want to get it dirty because it looks incredible.
4. Steelcraft 2023 Super Duty
Nothing says get out of my way quite like this 2023 Super Duty customized by Steelcraft. It starts up front with that massive grille guard. Along the sides you get steel running boards that when combined with the black wheels just look menacing. We love this truck.
3. White 5th Gen F-250
We spotted this beauty over at the TIS Off-Road booth and it's one of the coolest classic trucks we saw at SEMA 2013. We don't know much about the build or builder, sadly. But it has been Power Stroke-swapped. That alone always makes a truck one of our favorites.
2. Ford Performance FP800S
Ford Performance announced at SEMA 2023 that a new FP800S package would be available for the S650 Mustang. And here is a car equipped with that kit. You get over 800 horsepower thanks to the supercharger bolted to the latest Coyote V-8. But there are also several visual upgrades on the Mustang that make it one of our favorites.
1. Lifted 9th Gen F-Series
If there was an award for the tallest truck at SEMA, this one would drive away with the prize. It makes the Ford F-150 Raptor parked next to it look like a toy. That combined with the shocking green and orange color scheme made it one of our favorites. Would I want to own it? No, but the craftsmanship on display is extraordinary, including a Dudes Fab Shop chassis with lots of chromed Vegas easter eggs. And there's even a chassis-color-matched exhaust system that leads to a stack behind the cab. Truly the wildest Ford we saw at SEMA 2023.
