shows hole in casting of caliper bracket... exactly where pin and its grease are located. Some of the worst oxidation I've seen on any vehicle considering it's less than 10yrs old.

shows how rotor is separated from hub, only the caliper held it in place. Very lucky didn't catch fire -which I've seen numerous times on vehicles neglecting their brakes.

shows hub locking nut. This nut is 3 1/2" and has chisel marks which is typical on how sub standard (IMO) shops/mechanics tighten this nut.

leaving for the night, I sealed hub with plastic bags to prevent moisture and critters from entering rear. Torrential showers expected, along with possible tornadoes, FUN!
