Front side of the 89 Astro van instrument panel. I got to thinking this might work because the speedometer sweep angle would be similar to my 54 speedometer panel.

oil pressure gauge motor out of the 89 Astro van. Had to remove the needle and drill out the rivets to get it off the face plate.

All the parts before assembly - including the oil pressure motor and needle from the 89 Astro van, the 54 F100 oil gauge face plate, and a home made bracket made to mount it in the 54 instrument panel

front view - odometer and speedometer from 89 Astro van fitted to 54 F100 speedometer panel. I did not enlarge the window for the odometer and the Asto van odometer gauge is wider than the 54 F100 so the 10ths do not show. I was going to sue the odometer gauge from the 54 but it was broken and would not roll over the 1000s.

bottom view - speedometer motor from 89 Astro van fitted to my 54 F100 instrument panel. The motor had to be located behind the odometer and I kinda cobbled the shaft and coupler to attach the needle. I would have liked to have a way to machine a brass fitting.

Front view of the 54 F100 instrument panel with the gauges and speedometer from the 89 Astro van fitted. Note the oil and battery gauges were idiot lights so the face plates for those do not have division marks.

fuel sender from 89 Astro mounted to base plate that will go in the aftermarket stock ss tank. Old sender is to the right of the new one. Old one looks stock but I'm not sure.

OEM oil pressure gauge back - this one and another like it both have a measured resistance of about 10 ohms and will go to about 3/4 (60 psi) with 3 volts.

temp gages left oblique view - both show about 10 ohms with a meter. I pulled the face off the right one to put on the meter guts from the 89 astro van.
