You'll need to remove the needles to remove the gauge face overlay. To remove the needles, use 2 spoons on opposite sides of the roung base and then push down on the handles evenly and it will pop right off. There's a few ways to approach the needle removal. Some say to let the engine get up to operating temp and tak a picture of where the needles read. I took mine off before I knew this. So the way I did it was to turn on the ignition (w/o starting the truck) and position the oil pressure, trans temp and oil temp right where they normally point when the engine is cold. Next I went and filled up with diesel and positioned that needle. The tach I put on 0 when it was not running but I think it's a little high. I'll remove the needle, hook it up to a scan tool and then put it on when it's warmed up and idleing. The MPH is a bit trickier but I'll need to follow a friend on a long stretch of straigh road. When the hit a certain mph, they'll turn on their flashers. I'll then need to position the needle where it should be and see how it reads. I'll have someone else in the truck helping me with this to keep things, ahh, "safe". DON'T PUSH the needles on all the way until you know they are correct. Then you can press them on to fully seat them.
