Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
This was a fleet edition truck, originally sold to the University of Wyoming for their Geology Department. At 100,000 miles, the University sold the truck at auction. I purchased the truck for a very decent price, but paid for it in interior replacement parts. The college students were not nice to this truck while at UW, LOL! The truck came with a hydrolic lift gate and bed rack.. both removed shortly after purchase. Liftgates weigh a ton, and the rack was unglier then sin. Since the purchase, interior parts have been replaced, dually fenders as well.. since they were smashed prior to my ownership, and my horses helped finishing them off! Along with missing luxuries, the AM radio went out along with the speakers, for pioneer upgrades. Headache rack installed to prevent round bales from rolling into the cab, and a 1/8 steel plate installed into the bed for added support of heavy payloads. Gooseneck hitch and a class V bumper hitch was also added, as I tow a variety of horse trailers. Its an ongoing project!
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
The truck came equipped with a 5.8 liter gas engine and E4OD trans. Both have been removed as of lately, and a 97 7.3 DI Powerstroke and auto trans are going in. Along with the powerstroke upgrade, the original 2-wheel drive has been removed, for the 4-wheel drive add in. 4.10 limited slips were also part of the add on! 6637 intake add on, 3" dp open pipes, extra large tranny cooler, RSK install.
Suspension Modifications:
Was a 2wd, now converted to 4wd. Homemade RSK install on the 250hd springs. 3" suspension lift.
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
Factory steel wheels are on it now, with plans to swap them out for aluminums. Still shopping for a good all terrain tire with good highway capability.
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
The truck was an XL model, now converted to an XLT package. CD/MP3?Blue tooth and pioneer sound system. Factory Tilt steering has also been put in. Rear slider add in. Road armor upgrade.
