I live near Perth in Western Australia.
I recently purchased a 1948 truck.
Following are the details I have found.
Is this a 1948 model and what capacity engine is it.
Any help would be appreciated.

Mal, The vin number would be on your truck's title. It is also stamped on the clutch housing, and can be seen when the transmission cover is removed. It should also be stamped on the frame rail (I believe on the driver side). If your truck is a 1948, the first character of your Vin. # would be an "8".

I found the vin on my 48 F1 on top of the frame near the front motor mount, but on the passenger side.
The vin was located on the Data plate on the firewall, the Rating plate on the glovebox door and on the frame rail. I did NOT find it on the tranny.
Your GVW would correspond to something like an F7, 2 1/2Ton. Is your wheelbase 135 or 159 inches?
If your vin is similar to US models, it should be something like 88EQ******

hi mate

hi mate i just got my truck home and it has the same tag but im sure its a 1952 prime mover just wondering how you got on with yours im putting a diesel in mine doing the outside back to original inside is going to be better like air ride seats and air con
