2005 Optional Auxiliary "Upfitter" Switches:
2005 F-Series trucks may be ordered with four optional auxiliary switches mounted below the climate control panel. These switches control installed fused relays (two 10 amp and two 30 amp) that can be wired to power accessories. The leads from the relays can be found behind the fuse box under the dash, and are labeled to identify with which switch each is associated. Broadcast Message 3093
My switches only light up when activated with the ignition on so I don't think they are always hot. I have'nt hooked anything up yet, but I am considering trying them with my soon to be installed Pace Edwards Bedlocker cover.
picked up my 05 F350 KR and asked the dealer about where the switches terminated,,
Duhhhh was their answer,, will have to take a look behind the fuse panel,, there is also four unterminated wires on the firewall just in front of the driver poking out of a harness,, would have been nice if a buss block was installed with the four wires terminaed to the block,,
they match the color codes listed in the fuse panel diagram in the owners manual,,
have not hung a meter on them yet to see if they actually have power when a switch is raised,,

Sunshadow, dont bother. The PE Bedlocker switch uses a negetive signal to actuate it. You will need to order the BL-1120 kit from them to operate it from inside the cab (without using the remote) The power door lock actuation is the same, negetive. so you need a relay kit if you want to enable that option also.
I just put my Bedlocker on and went thru it all recently, man is it a SWEET unit though, youll love it!
