I'm going to watch this as I have the same situation on my '15. Not sure if the factory upfitters are worth the work as opposed to just running a hot bus under the dash and keeping the accessories separate.

Seems like that would be a cheaper way to go anyway..

I agree - I bought the Ford kit off eBay for my '08 Super Duty and installed it myself. There was some twisting and turning, tight places to get to but when finished, it was sweet! If my 2015 hadn't come with them, I'd have done it again, for sure!

I bought the kit with relays but haven't gotten around to installing it yet. One thing I noticed though is the kit doesn't come with the bolts you need to mount the relay box. FYI -The bolts you will need are 8-32 X 3/4 and it looks like hex heads will be best if you can find them because of the position you will need to reach them at inside the dash.

I've read that working behind that dash is a nightmare..

not looking forward to it..
I was in this situation when I was installing my second set of upfitters (8 switches are awesome!) and I ended up taking out the upper and lower dash panels, kick panel below the steering wheel, AND the drivers seat. It gave me plenty of room to do what I needed to do without contorting into uncomfortable positions. Granted, since installing the kit is a simpler plug and play than retrofitting a second set, it will be much quicker and you could probably do without removing the drivers seat. I still recommend the entire kit versus just the switches and then wiring with your own relays. The complete kit is easier and it results in the switches being ignition only, it ensures that the lights on the switch light up with the dash and dim with the dash, and keeps you from building your own harness. Good luck!
I guess I'll find out soon enough.
I've also heard that accessing the wires under the dash to install devices can be tricky too. I may install some pig tails onto them while I'm in there to bring them down lower for when I need them.
On my 06 Lariat, I installed the complete kit. It was really nice just plugging into the back of the fuse box. On mine, There are 4 wires the break out of the harness by the master cylinder. Those four wires are now powered by the switches.
The kit is very easy to install, I would recommend getting it complete as it is plug and play. I have a 2016 and added them in about 15 minutes. To wire it correctly your self is going to take a considerable amount of time as well as the fact you would be jumping power from some where other than where it was intended to come from. the switches are also rated for different amp loads. Lay under your dash on the drivers side. Look above the steering shaft you will see a white plug approx. 1" x 2" with a grey dummy plug cap in it. Remove the dummy cap and that is where the switch harness plugs into
