Sync features on a 2014 F150?
Just took delivery on a very clean and well maintained 2014 F150 4x4 XLT.
Know nothing about the so-called Sync device in the center but would like to be able to use or install a Waze-type navigation program. I did read Sync is no longer supported by Ford but also read the navigation feature still functions so??
Can anyone enlighten me or point me in the right direction.
The other possibility seems to be an upgrade kit from Sync 2 (if that is what I have ?) to Sync 3 but then there is another module just to get navigation.
Has anyone done any of this with success and just what did you actually need to replace?

Heard back from the Chinese sellers.
First, was told they could provide an updated module to go from Sync 2, which they said I had based on the VIN #, to Sync 3. Then they emailed back and said they could not.
So, on to plan B.

This is the company I used when I upgraded my 2013 F350 Lariat from sync 2 to 3, they are based in Florida and use Ford OEM parts. I all worked great and the newer Navigation is nothing like the sync 2, it's a completely different operating system and it worked seamlessly with all the other modules like Sirius radio. https://foursynctech.com/products/20...rsion-full-kit.
There are videos online that give a step by step tutorial for the installation. They will also answer any questions you may have.
