X Plan
And all of the suggestions I've seen on the forum for trying to obtain one never once worked for me. They're about as random as the lottery.

Ford lost at least three vehicle sales in the last 5 years from me due to this and a myriad of other reasons.
The X plan price is Invoice price minus 0.4% plus $275 admin fee. X Plan limits dealer documentation fee to $100. Most charge more than that (NY State limits doc fees to $150). So, X plan does not mean $675 in fees.
X plan price ends up being very close to invoice on a Super Duty even with the admin fee (it will be below invoice for trucks with an MSRP > $73K)
Capping doc fees can be a real advantage as some dealers offer a great price then add hundreds in doc and other fees.
On the other hand, X plan prohibits the dealer from offering sales incentives such as free services or accessories.
X plan price isn't necessarily the "best" price as there are dealers that will beat it but there are also lots of dealers who will not sell a vehicle anywhere near invoice without a lot of haggling and, even then, the buyer can be subject to exorbitant add-on fees.

As of September 2025, the X-Plan administrative fee is $375 not $275. And the documentation fee cap is now $300, not $100. And since $300 + $375 still equals $675 all week long and on Sunday, that's what you're looking at in terms of X-Plan fees currently. Which is what I stated correctly in the first place.

And for the record, the New York State doc fee cap is now $175, not $150.
2026 Dealer Doc Fees by State
Also, my F-350's MSRP was $79,770, which is > $73K. With its invoice price of $75,749 and the correct doc and admin fees I noted above, the X-Plan price before tax is $76,121. Note that the X-Plan price is NOT less than the invoice price, as you stated would be the case.
By any chance, you didn't perhaps rely on AI to do the research for this misinformation, did you?

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

@Ford Motor Company what is your marketing department protocol on PCOs? Seems like a bigger black box than how F450 production is scheduled.

It is not appropriate to add the $300 doc fee cap to the X plan price and conclude that X plan carries $675 in fees. As noted, some States have lower doc fee caps. Also, some dealers charge more than $300 so, for those, the X plan cap represents a savings.
And, Duh, since my math was based on an incorrect admin fee, it does not work for your F350. Thanks for pointing that out. Using the current admin fee, the "equal to invoice price" MSRP is close to $99K not $73K.
The first new Ford truck I bought was a 1993, with well over a dozen since and a new Mustang in 2006 for good measure. The offers just don’t come my way. Maybe they figured I’d buy regardless. I guess they were right.

In early 2022 I got a PCO the week after I took delivery of a F250 CCLB that I had to fight tooth and nail just for the dealer to honor the original agreed upon MSRP without their surprise 5k "market adjustment". Then nothing for 3.5 years. Then I get one but only for in stock vehicles which was more restrictive than the first one I got. Great for people who just want a common configuration like a CCSB Lariat PSD, not bueno for those of us who have specific builds in mind.
Since I took delivery of my 2026 in Nov 2025 it's been silence, but they are running their "employee pricing" which is just X plan so I guess they don't see the point of PCO with the employee pricing promotion still ongoing. Will I get another PCO in my life time? Who knows, it's an adventure.
