Hey everyone,
I was hoping you guys could help me identify a part off of my 95 f350 with a 460 engine. I had the short block rebuild and this came back in a box of spare parts.
Thanks for the help!
That one is missing the needle bearings inside it
Good thing, them removing it for you
They are not easy to get out
Last 460 I put a clutch in; I used white bread with crust to get the old one out
Could that have been a bushing instead of a bearing?
In either case, I would get a new bearing, as they tend to work better. Get the proper size for your transmission; measure the ID of the hole on the end of the crank shaft, and the OD of your transmission's input shaft.
I did the white bread trick as well, on a bushing.
The bushings were / are all brass and that hole is too big for an input shaft
It's missing the roller bearings and the stainless steel sleeve that holds them
