Difficulty moving V10 engine in engine bay 99 F250
So I recently replaced the oil pan on the V10 in my 99 F250. I placed 2x4 blocks between the engine mounts and where it bolts to the cradle. After getting it back together I was lifting the engine from the front and back basically where the oil pan bolts to the engine block and the engine slid back into the firewall. I'm having a hard time getting it back into the right spot in the engine bay where I can remove the 2x4s and then lower it back down onto the cradle. Would it be easier if I just rented an engine hoist and used that to lift it up from the top? Note - I have the transmission removed right now so there isn't much keeping the engine in place and I think thats why it slid back when I was originally trying to remove the 2x4s.
