Question 2011 f150 5.0 propane converted drilled into intake manifold issue

Hello I have a 2011 ford f150 5.0 that I recently purchased from marketplace that has an added propane conversion kit on it. It also still has all the original gas injectors/tank which work with no issues. the brass nipples that connect through rubber lines (22psi I think) to the propane injectors that screw into the plastic intake manifold have eaten through the threads in the plastic and has JB weld on them from somebody at some point in time trying to band aid them. should I get a new metal intake manifold? do they make one for this truck? should I save the old one somehow and use thread tape and more plastic weld? help

I wouldn’t try to “save” that with more JB Weld or thread tape. If the injector bung threads in the plastic intake are already stripped and repaired before, it’s only going to get worse with propane pressure and heat cycles.

On the 2011 5.0 Coyote, there isn’t a common OEM metal intake manifold swap that’s a direct replacement. Most setups stay with the factory composite intake because of fitment and tuning.

Realistically, your safer options are: replace the intake manifold with a new OEM-style plastic unit, or if the propane kit is still important, have a proper propane/fuel system shop install correct threaded inserts or an adapter plate solution designed for LPG use.

Given you still have gasoline working normally, I’d strongly consider removing the propane kit entirely or rebuilding it professionally, rather than continuing with patched threads in the intake.
