My truck has been parked since last year, last time I drove it was to pick up a ton of pellets, then it sat. Today I drove it because it needed to be refueled and the DEF filled up. I didn't think about it back then, but DEF can crystalize if left too long at a low level in the tank. Well, I had the cruise on, which has the lane centering. Normally it will prompt if I don't move the steering wheel, which normally I have no need to as the truck tracks great. Today however I noticed it now yells and flashes a triangle warning message to Resume Control! It never did that before, so when the heck did Ford update the Cruise with that non sense?
I forgot just how nice and powerful this truck is, I miss driving it, even though the Flex is a little hotrod, just can't beat that low down torque and smack head against the seat giddy up this truck has. Diesel was $4.40 today, so rather than wait any longer, and risk it going back up, which is what is being said on the news, I filled it up. It gets 16 MPG, the Flex gets 17 MPG and costs almost as much per gallon. I should probably get the safety sticker and drive it more.
