I'm looking at purchasing a monitor and was wondering which was better the Banks iDash or Edge CTS 3? I'm aware of the obvious size and price differences, but other than that, what makes one better than another?
Is there a reason you're using the one you have vs the other?
I have never used the Edge, but I can say I have been quite happy with my iDashes. Banks also offers a nice "stealth" mount for them too. Also, if you ever want to add any of the other Banks items, this obviously plays nice with those things. So, while I have no experience with the Edge, my vote is for the iDash!

I bought an Edge monitor for my 2017 and loved it. It was in the top corner above the grab handle. The screen was easy to read, matched the colors of the Ford, and easily customizable. Unfortunately, it’s not compatible with the 2023 model and the software updates are for the new models. I haven’t bought a new one yet, but it’s on the short list. I’ll buy a new Edge soon.
Recently switched from the Edge CTS3 to a couple of idash pro's to go along with the pedal monster, they're both pretty good. I liked the little indicator led at the top of the CTS3 to let me know it was doing a regen. Software updates could be a little finicky via wifi or usb via the desktop client.
I like the stealth mount pod location in the grab handle for the idash pros better vs the CTS3's mount that goes on the trim above the AC vent. The wiring is also better hidden with the idash pros in the stealth mount, but that's just icing on the cake. App integration for the idash pro is a nice feature to have rather than having to directly interact with the device for some things.
Can't go wrong with either one really, the bigger touch screen display on the CTS3 is nice, but the idash pro display is fine once you get it all set the way you want via the app or physical buttons.

I have the Regen Status PID enabled on my iDash and during a regen it flashes ACT/ON. It is definitely noticeable. You could also set an alarm and the whole screen will flash when the regen status changes. However, I keep the active regen setting in the truck turned off, so I have to turn it on when it's time for a regen anyway, so I know it's on.

Yeah, I'm monitoring that pid, just haven't gone through regen yet to see it in action.
I've had both, now using the Banks I-Dash. The main thing I liked about the Edge was because of its size that it was easier to read for my 65 year old eyes. Other than that, they are both a great option to have.
I've had the Edge products on my trucks since back in 2003. They work and I've had a good releationship with folks in their office.
It's easy to scoll the PIDs and choose which ones you want to display and The CTS screen has tons of options of how many PIDs to display.
I also have the Edge EZX which is a emission compliant tuner that adds a little zip.
Ford6.7ski, I'm not sure why you'd want to do a manual regen on a 23+ truck. They do an active regen every 497 miles, rarely get above 50% and are done with regen in less than 10 minutes. 80,000 miles into my truck and I've never felt the need to Park it and start a manual regen.
