300 i6 what do I tighten first 3 bolts between intake exhaust manifold or manifold to head bolts
(update 5/27/7pm) Think this will work
Leave 3 manifold joining bolts with some play, block exhaust manifold soft padding so it is in a level floating position, tighten manifolds to head, slightly loosen bolts to head to allow some movement when tightening 3 manifold joining bolts, then slightly tighten manifolds to head, slightly loosen 3 joining manifold bolts, tighten manifolds to head slightly more, 2-3 steps to torque everything to spec.?

I think I would snug up the 3 bolts to the manifolds so you are working the manifolds as 1 part. Dealing with 2 EFI manifolds and intake and only have 2 hands was no fun

Once the manifolds were snug to the head I would then tighten the 3 bolds between the manifolds then manifolds to the head.
After a few heat & cool cycles tighten the bolds again.
