56 headlight bezel install issue

56 headlight bezel install issue
Does anyone know the trick to get these on. The clips are original but having difficulties in getting these bezels aligned with clips. Has to be a better way, help!!

the clips slide onto the grill so maybe they are a little out of position?

56 headlight bezel install issue
Yes, I put the clips on the correct location but when trying to put screw in, the bezel shifts down or up and hard to get the other screw in. Strange that I can't just hold bezel in position and put screws in. Can't be that difficult. I'll try to get photos of the issue.
