Linkage set up and kick down for c6

Have a 390’fe c6 transmission. Does a cotter pin go on kick down arm and linkage? I changed rear main and had to pull trans didn’t take a picture of linkage before I disassembled (learning experience) just need help on how the setup is so I can hook back up. Thanks a picture would help or explanation on where e clamp goes too.

It should take the little C-clips, like 97409-s in the diagram.

Depending on year it may have one of those clips that locks in place.

Right, a little spring loaded clip on both ends on the kickdown rod itself and conventional C clips on the rest of the linkage
You should be able to get those little clips still
Same ones were used on GM products for years and years too IIRR

Runner bushing

Been off and on finishing stuff today, now which way does rubber bushing go in and then rod gets attached with cotter pin, right?

The flat side of the bushing rides on the flat part of the kick down arm, so it goes in from the back side of the down shift rod.

Got it!

Thank you to all in this thread for your input and help! Just fixed it, got the e clip on the kick down, put the rubber bushing in the right way then got the rod through and the cotter pin on. Thank you!
