Found a 2006 F350 6.0 4x4 studded/deleted/OEM tune dually with full Lariat interior, bull bar and extremely minimal rust with just over 300k kms and I haggled it down to $6500 CAD. I'm told there's no issues with 4x4, engine, head gaskets or oil cooler and it's a strong runner so I'm driving 4 hours tomorrow to check it out and I'll bring FORSCAN with me of course. I've had very good luck purchasing vehicles from farmers so fingers crossed on this one fellas
Nice for 6500.00 that is great. Hopefully it doesn't have underlying issues
Unfortunately it had underlying issues lol. Listening to the engine made me soooo thankful that my engine is healthy and strong. Body and interior were nice though.
Truck didn't start very easy every time it was cranked over, bottom of degas bottle was cruddy, possible rear main seal leak or leak from hpop gasket, had a slight miss, frame was caked in dry mud so I couldn't properly inspect the frame and the seller has his own shop and is capable of doing safety inspections yet he wouldn't do one himself for this truck which I found rather suspicious so I decided I'd rather drop that $6500 into improving my truck which Is healthy top to bottom aside from rusty doors.
Also the windshield had a few long cracks and the rear plate lights/wiring were missing as well as a few of the marker lights. Oh yeah, the HFCM was wired into #1 aux switch. I'm so use to hearing my 6.0 purr that when I heard that dually 6.0 running all I could think was "Ohhh you poor thing" lol. I'm sure this dually would be a perfect fixer upper truck for a lot of guys here, but it's too much unknown for a guy like me with no garage or proper work area.
Yeah that is a list of potential high dollar stuff.
Walk away or you'll be walking away because it broke down
If I had 20 grand and a large driveway I'd have bought it and toss in a new windshield, new rubber and swap engines with my srw and swap over all the updated parts I've put on over the past couple years, but unfortunately that's too much for me right now.
There's ALWAYS good deals on low rust trucks in/around Vancouver so finding another dually later won't be an issue.
After looking at 2006 DRW F350 4x4 prices across Canada via marketplace and kijiji I am now having second thoughts on this truck lol. I now have a place in the country I can park it and work on it for as long as I require and at the very least I can consider it an investment opportunity. $6500 purchase price and say I drop another $6500 into it over the next couple months upgrading everything, I can easily turn around and sell it for $22,000-$25,000.
Before purchasing I'd request the frame to be pressure washed so I can inspect for cracks/holes, but considering it was never winter driven on salty roads (just around the farm property) I'd assume the frame is solid.
Best case scenario, the engine requires minimal work and the larger expenses are new tires, windshield, new 6.7 steering box and maintenance items like new fluids/hoses/lines etc etc. Worst case scenario, the engine requires too much work for me to correct and I swap engines and everything else from my 06 SRW and part it off.
Resurrecting because I'm going on a fools errand too....
Just used google translate to make an offer on FB marketplace for a non-running 2007 Lariat. I figure worst case there's no engine or transmission in it and I part it out to maintain my fleet, best case I get to put a 6.0 on a stand and pull a Jack and stare at it for a few years.

Where's the truck located?
Asking cause you mentioned needing google translate.
