When I set my blue cruise on my 2026 after a few miles it tells me to keep my eyes on the road. I'm focused on the road but that doesn't matter it starts tapping the brake. Is this something that I'm doing wrong or should I take it to the dealer.
I can offer this information. The truck has two infrared sensors that specifically look at your eyes. If I'm scratching my eyes temporarily I get the notification as well. I've heard some people say that certain sunglasses can cause issues but I've never had that issue. I believe if you take a picture from the driver's seat you can visually see if the infrared is illuminating. Darkness may help with this picture. By the way I have a 2024 model year.
After using it more i have noticed it works fine when its cloudy. I don't know if it needs recalibrated, or even if it can. Clearly the bright sun causing a glare affects the way it works.
Sounds like it needs recalibrated.....perhaps not aiming at the right point on your face? IDK.
It should give you a bit more time.
I am able to look around etc without the alert...prob about 5 sec (guessing here)....
I drove to Kansas City and back yesterday Blue Cruise worked flawless. So I assume with the new construction on I-70 is what is causing it on that stretch of road\,with that being said the new part that it wasn't working on was open. I would not use blue cruise in a construction zone. I did notice that on the Ford navigation on the way back the blue lines indicating blue cruise available was gone, I checked my settings to make sure it was still set correctly. Not sure what's that's all about it has always been on the Ford navigation .
Well stupid me the blue lines i was seeing was the route on navigation. There was never any blue lines for blue cruise. Talking about brain dead i was that day.
