So, several months back, i put a set of UDP 205/30 injectors in along with a PHP hydra in my 97 powerstroke. I held off on doing the turbo until the kc 300x gen 3 came out. So, after injector install, she ran beautifully and no battery drain. Ran it for about 2 months with no issues. Then, finally KC dropped their turbo, which is a OBS to superduty turbo conversion. Did the whole install and now my batteries show low voltage.....like below normal and it takes forever to get back to where it usually is, if it does at all during my 20 minute drive to/from work. Usually reads about 3/4 on dash. I don't see any pinched wires and since I didn't need to pop the valve covers, I know it's not anything in there. The only thing really is does the EBV wire need to be capped off, could that be causing the battery drain? I do have it taped off. Thanks
GPR is new, White Roger's and all connections are good. The battery posts and cables are clean......I clean them every time I disconnect them, and did it again 2 days ago. Same result.
I can also tell that it's low on juice......harder to crank and it puffs white smoke on startup and clears up after about 10 seconds. After I put my injectors in and before turbo, it started beautifully and no smoke......so I definitely don't have as much juice as I should
But why would the batteries be effected after a turbo change. It was fine before, both batteries new. Not seeing pinched wires that I can tell. Could all of the penetrating oil I used to soak the bolts have drained down towards the started and caused this?
