1956 F500 brake parts

Im fixing up a 1956 F500 truck and I'm trying to find an impossible part.
I damaged my 5 way brake distribution block by cross threading a line and damaging the seat.
Anyone know where a guy can find this?
My next move might be to try an orange in the block to maybe seal it.

Thank you very much

Mike

That 7RT-2076 brake manifold part is not reproduced or available commercially. Cross threading kills quite a few of them. You can try Chuck of Chuck's Trucks LLC and see if he may have any in his ever flowing inventory.

Thankfully, their plumbing isn't as convoluted as one may think, but it also isn't obvious. This diagram should allow you to use standard fittings to make up an equivalent:

Distribution block

It's looking like I might be able to use a block from an F100 and drill and tap a hole in the bottom and add a tee.
I will post pictures of any work around that I'm able to Mcgiver...
Thank you for the input, Chucks Trucks is looking for a used unit for me.
They are not making this for Chucks anymore.

Thanks again... Mike

The F-100 fitting may be a good place to start, but I wouldn't drill and tap it. The F-100 fitting is different as all the outputs are simply internally connected (it may also be for 3/16 line instead of 1/4" which may be a deal breaker). You actually would take any one output and run it to your brake booster, blocking off the other two outputs. You could also substitute a generic single output banjo fitting if you prefer. Regardless of how the master cylinder is adapted to the brake booster input, the boosted output from the booster would then need to feed a T, which is then connected to another T. That gives the equivalent of the boosted input driving 3 outputs (Left Front, Right Front, Rear in the diagram posted earlier).

Im even looking into soldering a fitting into the damaged port and making a new line.

I think I might have what you need, I'll need to crawl under the old truck and take a look, I'll get back to you as soon as I can get my butt in gear.

That wouldn't be advantageous as that is for dual circuit style systems and detecting circuit imbalance!

Not that simple as it has internal valving and balancing components for dual circuits. There is so much more to some of these distribution blocks than number and types of ports.

Yes, as I stated very early on, one should be able to replicate the functionality with standard/universal brass fittings, the specifics highly dependent upon what the local shop has in stock - no need to get fancy with any application specific complexities. A banjo fitting and some Ts are all that is really needed to be plumbed up to match the plumbing of the original part.
