Exterior lights

Good morning all,

I have almost completed the upgrades that I had planned under the hood. One thing left is the sloppy steering box. I'm looking to start the exterior of my truck. Lighting is something I want to start with. It looks like lights can get very expensive. I would like to have cab lights which I understand they are pre wired for. I cannot place lights in the bumper vent slots due to my tranny cooler residing there. I have seen a Baja style bar mounting to the front bumper but I'm not sure if that will affect intercooler air flow. Should I go with clear, dark lighting look? What will match best with the crome? Any body have pictures? Any suggestions? The front head lights are very yellow and faded than what the pics show.
The rear bumper has to go eventually, can't stand the stock bumper.
Please chime in, thanks.

I did try that Cerakote on a few sets of dingy lamps, they look good enough to me compared to before. The kit was maybe $20. I will try to find pics.

Maybe you could find a bullbar to mount the lamps to as to not be in the way or aftermarket bumper.

Aa for the cab lamps, I have data posted on me installing mine. I forget the brand, I will look.

With the chrome, I would probably do the clear lights up front. Lots of different options. Cheap to ridiculous depending on your desires.

I can see your conflict since your cooler is behind your bumper. You could do a newer ‘16+ bumper swap. Lots of folks seem to like those.

Kinda do want to keep the chrome. I don't mind the front stock bumper. Otherwise I would have to black everything out. And that maybe it even takes away from the nastalga. Maybe clear on everything? Does changing lamps out to LED becomes very costly? Anybody has clear tail lights? Or maybe I can can make the tail lights red LEDs?

Anybody knows where to find the rear ranch hand chrome rear bumper?

Thinking about also painting the inner grill area black as it has faded much.

Ah, so my external clearance lamps are Blazer. Just popped in my head. Unsure how an LED would work in a halogen housing.

My pal did some projectors on his Bricknose. I will ask the company.

EDIT - http://bajahidretrofits.com/ The fitment and output look fine to me. Truck is not a daily so, cannot say long term.

This is how my current one looks if it helps give you any ideas. The only change in this photo to current is that I have removed the foot steps shown in this and fabbed some mounts to put factory 6.7 Tremor running boards on it.
Grill and headlight bezels are rattlecanned semi gloss black
Headlights are custom two-piece BajaLEDs
GM tow mirror conversion
Warn Transformer bumper with M12 Warn winch
KC fog lights
Magnum Pro headache rack
52 inch(I think) RIGID light bar
Reverse facing square pods
Raptor lined toolbox
Ranchhand rear bumper
Hope this helps!

I have headlights from Bajahidretrofits.com and I absolutely love them. One of the best mods I've done to truck. I put it up there with good tuning. Makes driving at night so much safer and easier.

Idk what Ll you want for exterior lights. I have a few on my truck.

Im thinking of clear lenses on everything including cab lights. I think some of the head light assemblies are one piece rather than a lamp and lense parts. Instead of blacking out all the lights and then having to make a decision on whether to black out the chrome. I think going LED on all the lamps would be too costly, right? Does anyone have LED can lights? I will start looking at the links everyone sent.

I like stock just how they came from factory, but your rig looks good. As for rear bumber I like the old class 5 bumpers, gives the truck a little bit of ***.
