It's not a '66, that's for sure!

'69 looks to be about right, and for a '69 pickup, here's what you would use:

https://www.fordification.com/tech/VIN69.htm

Not sure if you can use this to decode an F-600 tag.

Welcome to FTE! This is the place for an F600. Many cab and trim items (glass, weatherstrip, doors, some dash, some seat, and some body panels) interchange with the pickups. But fenders, sometimes hoods, floors and cab mounts are different. \\

F61 = F600 gas, 4x2

E = 361 2V FT gas V8

C = Ontario Truck Plant

N80919 = 1972 numerical series, March 1972 production

194 = 194 inch wheelbase

No color code--probably part of the special order

F612 = F600 gas, 4x2, 23,000 lbs GVWR, "Except State of PA"

4 8
4 = Black Vinyl
8 = Standard Cab, Chassis cab vehicle

2 = Clark model 282V five speed direct transmission

E2D
E2 = Eaton model 16244 two speed rear axle, 17,500 lbs capacity, 6.17 / 8.58 ratios
D = Ford-Rockwell (Timken) front axle, 7,000 lbs capacity

23000 = 23,000 lbs GVWR

182 3800 = 182 Certified Net HP @ 3800 RPM

580585
58 = Twin Cities District Sales Office
0585 = Special Order Number

Of course not much of this matters as it looks like you have a shell of a cab only.

I can't find much on crew cabs for that year, and nothing in the model or body code indicates crew cab. I did find a post regarding another '72:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post15413818

Short version: Converted by Ford or sent to Crown Coach.

What are your plans?

The plan is to use this donor cab to make the crew complete then find a chassi to put the cab on. Would like to build it.

Good day! Sorry to hijack the post but this is the closest I've come to finding relevant info on the tag in my newly acquired F-600 (F61MCDF2630)n 3 days of searching the net! If it's OK and allowed ( and I can figure out how! ) I'll try and post a couple pics. I just got the truck 4 days ago and would like to know what it has for engine , etc. I will be fixing it up, and am excited to get started. But first I need some info. Hope someone can help me with that. Thanks in advance. Cheers
