I did a search and came up empty on an RV mod/fix thread.
A couple of days ago I installed a MicroAir Easy start on my 15K Coleman Mach AC. I still have to get it hooked to 30 amp shore power to do the learning process. Can't wait to find out if my Champion 2000w inverter genny will start this thing.
Also installed a rear view camera and got power from the center rear marker light so the running lights have to be on for it to work but thats ok. Tested and works great at 46' from camera to front cab of my truck.
Picked up my new camper 10 days ago and took it camping to work out the bugs. Found them! Spent the morning today at the RV dealer so they could fix them. They must have swarmed the trailer with every tech in the shop because they got every item in my punch list within about three hours.

I think it may. After I added the MicroAir to our 13.5K Coleman the 2kw Champion was able to start it up without much trouble. It will likely have trouble if there are other 120v loads - so make sure the water heater is off or on propane and if possible, turn the breaker for the charger off. I actually moved my converter/charger to its own circuit breaker so I could turn it off without impacting the other 120v loads on the breaker it was sharing. If you haven't installed an RV Air Flow insert in the A/C I'd also consider doing that. Will noticeably improve performance and can reduce the amount of time it runs which helps when running it off the generator.
Over the weekend, did my annual ritual of hand packing the bearings and checking the brakes while everything is apart. Undercarriage is starting to look a little rusty so I'll have to dedicate a weekend to sanding and painting in the near future.

Your genset may start it but won't be able to keep running once the AC cycles. Best to parallel a couple 2k's for continuous A/C run.
I'll be pulling my TT out of the barn today for next weekends camping trip.
I run a 15k AC w/ Microaire Easy Start on a single 2200W Honda with no problems.
The 2000W Champion might be able to handle the startup amps with the Microaire installed, but it is limited to only 13.3A running...which you're gonna chew up with that AC unit.
You can run and cycle a 15K AC on a Honda 2200 with the MicroAir unit. If you are borderline, you can shut off your converter and make sure your other AC loads are shut off.
I screwed up the initial learning cycles on mine by doing them through a super long skinny extension cord from a 15A outlet. Apparently it makes a difference to be running on proper 30A for the initial cycles. Of course, if you normally camp without shore power, that's why you buy the MicroAir in the first place, so that's a pain in the rear for some of us.

You can re-teach the Microaire (don't ask how I found out)
Funny you ask.
Put a new sail switch in the furnace today, trailer is only 1 year old. Lol
Put a new microwave in trailer also, wife wanted one with turn table.
AND aired up the tires as we're leaving again.

Yeah I did some research on the running amps on my AC and depending on ambient outside temps, it would pull anywhere from 10 to 16 amps. Probably into the higher end though and I don't want to screw up my genny as it's been a good one for quite a few years. I am looking forward to a quieter AC startup with the MicroAir unit installed.

Very nice! My Jayco came with a porcelain toilet, never go back to plastic.
Yesterday I took the genny down to the storage facility for power, slid out both slides and the awning. Treated the slide seals with 303 and cleaned up the awning underside. Also took a couple of gallons of water and tested the plumbing system via the the onboard pump winterizing line. All seems to be good after a pretty harsh winter. Today I took the Viair down to the camper and aired up the tires to 80psi. Hopefully going to get out this Sunday for the first trip of the season.
Not directly to my trailer but I added 2, 100W solar panels to the roof rack on my topper. Made an extension cord so I can plug in to the existing 300W of panels on the trailer during cloudy days or when the trailer is getting shade. 40% increase in output capacity for less than $250.
I use the roof rack to move my inflatable boat around so it's mostly empty.
I finally untarped mine today, everything looks great. I need to pickup some Dicor and touchup a few spots on the roof. Plan to run / flush water system today as well.
