Interior Light Goes Out Low Brake Fluid Warning Comes On

2016 F150 XLT
I really don"t know how to word this so I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say. Periodically when I start my truck and start moving, my interior light will stay on until my doors automatically lock and my low brake fluid warning alarm will come on. Sometime The lights will just randomly come on going down the road and I have to push the lock door button to turn them off and the brake fluid warning alarm will sound.
Has anyone had this or similar experience and fixed it?

I have a hard time figuring how the brake fluid light and the interior light thing might be related. Seems like separate problems, but who knows?

Doesn't make sense to me either but that is what's happening. Only time the brake fluid alarm comes on is when the lights turn off. Weird!!

There is recall on the brakes for that year F150. I'm thinking that might be one thing, and the lights is a whole other thing.

You may need to have it scanned for the lights if a door switch is causing the problem.

Is your brake fluid actually low? I'd start there. Let us know

Tough one, not a common discussed issue on the Forums. I'd probably start off by pulling the negative on the battery, let it sit a good hour, reconnect. Maybe check that the battery is fully charged as well, low batteries can cause weird things on these trucks. Good luck.

Did you ever figure this out?

I had my battery replaced two months ago as it was original to the truck (2016) and needed replaced. The problem went away after this but it came back today.

Yes I did! My electrical problems continued to snowball up to the point that my truck wouldn't even turn off, even with the key out of the ignition. I had to pull the fuse to the fuel pump to basically run it out of gas. So long story, it ended up being the body control module was going bad. Replaced it and everything's been fine since. **Knock on wood**
