Some questions about brake, steering and suspension of my truck F100 1969 RWD

Hello dear people !!!
I have some questions about brake, steering and suspension of my Truck F100 1969 RWD. I need new brake hoses for the front and do not know which are the right ones, because the currently installed are of course no longer original, but I have the impression that they are much too short. That's why I want to know what the right ones are. In addition, I would like to know what parts I also need when I renew the hoses. (Brackets etc.)

In my steering all tie rod ends are knocked out, also here I need please the correct part numbers. I've already seen RockAuto, but there are also some contradictions for me. I would also like to know which grease is the right one for the ball joints.
What I have to renew soon is the kingpin, also here a correct part number would be of great help ....
Here are the sketches from Fordification with the parts I mean.

Edit: ask about the brake fluid, DOT 3 is correct ???

Thanks in advance
Best regards from Germany
Lars

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH (513-731-3304) has all of these parts.

I cannot help you with your brake fluid question.

I've been to Germany twice, beautiful country and Berlin is much cleaner (far less graffiti) than London and Paris.

Hey,
ok, I do not know Paris and London either, but I do not think Berlin is particularly clean, but it's a very interesting city.
I'm really looking forward to my trip to the USA. I will fly to the United States in September for the first time in my life.
It is the usual tourist route, from San Francisco - Las Vegas - Canyons - LA and then 5 days along the Pacific back to SF. I'm looking forward to your country, the people and your way of life.
I hope I do not meet a great vintage car then I have to get in my handpack in the plane ...

Back in the '80s I had a soccer coach who immigrated to the US from Aachen. One summer we went there and played 5 games. It was a great time.

Is this one of the guided tours that Trafalger and etc lead? There was a funny film about these guided tours, titled: "If It's Tuesday, It Must Be Belgium."

I've been 'across the pond' 5 times, touring the UK, France and Germany. I plan the tours myself then rent a car. Renting a car in Frankfurt is cheaper than anywhere else in Europe.

Berlin, like Paris and London is flat, so it's an easy city to walk in. When the feet get tired, hopping on the S & U Bahn takes you back very close to your hotel, which in my case was in the Mitte District.

Good morning (in Germany)
No, we planned the trip ourselves with all the hotels and the route, we take the car from San Francisco and drive the tour itself. So we only have the hotels, which street we can take there, we still determine ourselves.

That's right London, Paris and Berlin are very flat, there are no roads like in SF ... but not so nice Cabel Cars ...

You live quite close to our route from LA to Santa Barbara I've seen, is that true ???
I'm really curious how it looks to you, pictures are always one thing, but to see it live something else ...

Thank you once again for the help

Best regards Lars

You have two choices to drive north from L/A: Highway 1 aka Pacific Coast Highway and the 101 Freeway also known as the Hollywood then the Ventura Freeway.

Highway 1 ends just south of Oxnard, then you have to take the 101, but Highway 1 reappears near Cambria and this route you have to take due to the spectacular scenery along the coast thru Big Sur.

After passing thru Cambria, you will pass thru San Simeon where Hearst Castle is visible on the hillside.

Personally I'd fly in/out of LAX .. And be prepared, the traffic in San Francisco is horrible, there's no freeway, it's surface streets only.

My hotel of choice: Holiday Inn Golden Gateway west of *** Hill at California & Van Ness. The views from the west and east are to die for.

I have no CA pictures except a couple I took when the cruise ship was leaving San Pedro (Los Angeles) Harbor enroute to Hawaii. There's not much to see besides the museum ship USS Iowa (BB:61).

hey
Many thanks for the good tips, I have already heard of the traffic conditions in SF, I hope that we can cope with it, but I think with a bit of time and rest should work.
I think I'll take some pictures of California, maybe I can send you some when I'm back home ...
But first we want to fly to you in September and see everything live. We are very pleased...

Thanks again
Best regards
Lars

Hello dear people
I just saw stamped on my I Beams.
Left: C7TA 9A 51C
Right: C7TA 8A 66a
Now I'm confused...
What is different with these I Beams, or which parts of the steering and the steering knuckle (kingpin) are different, or what other spare parts I need in contrast to the parts that are listed in Post 2 of Number Dummy.
Sorry that I did not look for my first question.

Thanks for an answer
Greetings Lars

I'm not...
You have a 1969 F100, so I listed the stamped numbers that would appear on 1968/70, some 1971 I-Beams.

The above stamped numbers are 1967 related (C7TA) for the same parts. So at some point, probably many years ago, the original C8TA I-Beams were replaced due to an accident.

Seeing is believing = First entry in pic: C6TZ-3006-C & C6TZ-3007-C then see all the stamped ID numbers that apply that I didn't want to type, because I felt they were unnecessary.

Click on the pic twice to enlarge it, then use the cursor to move it around.

Thanks for the information,
I am glad that only I am confused ...
I would have believed you without the picture, the part numbers differ basically only by the year of construction.
Who knows what happened to the car, that I had a steering column from 1978 was not quite normal.
According to Fin, the car **** KE18 *** would have to be built in October 1968 ... and then just model year and approval in 1969 ... or so ???
So thanks again for the info
greetings
Lars

Hello dear community
Now I've dismantled the I-beams and the rest of the front axle. At the same time, I got another axle because I saw that one of the I-Beams is very crooked. The "new" parts have the number C5TA. Here in Germany these parts are very rare. According to the list, the parts would have to fit. But the bolt for the King Pin sits in another place. Please have a look at the pictures. Here you can also see how crooked the I-Beam is. and how different the bolts are for the king pins.

According to the parts list in for example Moog Suspension, there is only one repair kit for King Pins for all years of manufacture from 1965 onwards.
The King Pin does not fit as it is being delivered, so the King Pin has already been renewed on the C5TA part, and it has been provided with a groove at the corresponding point in order to install the bolt ... I do not find this variant particularly successful if I'm honest. Unfortunately, I just do not have a picture of the new notch in the King Pin.
OK, here are a few photos of all this.
Thank you for info
Greetings Lars

1965 F100/250 2WD king pin kit is 1965 only.
C5TZ-3111-C .. King Pin Kit - Use with axle stamped C5TA-8-A or B (right) or C5TA-9-A or B (left) / Obsolete

1965 F100/250 2WD // GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 7 = 513-731-3304 (greensalescompany.com).

Lars, if you order this from their website, type the part number like this: C5TZ3111C
