I have a 2017 F250 that I am having trouble getting a hose in the tank to drain it. Is there something in the system to not allow a hose in the tank or am I missing something? Thanks!
Yes, in the hose, there is a blocker in the fill tube behind the opening that pushes open when you put in the fill nozzle. Take the filler hose off the back of the fill opening and insert your siphon tube down from there if you want to pump it out. It’s to make it harder to steal fuel.
I drained my 2017 recently thru water separator drain. I put a 5 gal can with short funnel under drain. It took about 15 mins to fill can, just keep your eye on it after a few mins and have another can to slide in place. I took out 20 gals.
