Retired the F350....

They took my 06 F350 at work and retired it. I'm next, but in the meantime I got my first new truck since the 30 years I've worked for Verizon. It's a Dodge 4500 bucket with a 6.4 Hemi 2018 with 234 miles. For a base chassis I have to say it is nicely equipped. I'm going to give the pros and cons of a different animal as time goes on. These trucks get abused and abused. Let's see how the Dodge holds up. First con, it is a fuel pig,I haven't gotten over 6 miles to the gallon.....but I'm not paying that bill. The shifter feels like it is on a curve instead of going straight up and down. That might just have to be getting used to. Otherwise it rides nice and has a big set of nuttz in the power Dept. Has all the power goodies too. I like that. Oh, and the heat kicks butt(it's 7* here today). All in all the horror stories haven't had a chance to rear their heads yet. I'll let ya know when they do.

Nope I still have Big Blu and Goliath. Matter of fact Goliath might go in for a total refurb. I'm crunching the numbers this week

Been curious about the 6.4 Hemi. It seems the big block gassers are sort of making a resurgence. I am wondering about all three of them. The power is something to consider, and with new diesels being the equivalent of a giant hemorrhoid in the a-hole, it's a viable option.

It's got some nuttz, I'll say that. A hell of a lot more than the 06 bucket, but it also was a 5.4. I have a few complaints but it's pretty nice for a base chassis. Seat is really comfy and the heat will dry your eyes out. I just hope the A/C is as good. I heard the Ford 6.2 is nothing to sneeze at either. I haven't drove one yet so there is no comparison. I just want to be fair and unbiased about the vehicle. I wish it was a Ford but it's not my money.

Yep, it's Brandy new. I took that off Monday. Had the plastic on the door handle too. Even has the new truck smell. Has less cabinet space then the Ford. I had to get rid of a bunch of old stuff I was keeping. It went in to the F 250....mine
