No heating a 2006 f350 6.0 diesel at idel

No heat in a 2006 f350 at idel. Takes a long time t0 come up to operating temp.i have changed the thermostat and the radiator is full

Does your cooling system hold pressure? Have you used a IR thermometer to see what your temps are before and after the thermostat?

water pump., not leaking but not moving water correctly...
restrictive heater hose
restrictive heater core
dashboard control doors... allowing outside cold air into heater system.
dashboard heater control themselves

Where did you get the new thermostat? I spent two winters chasing no heat only to discover not all thermostats are equal. Finally swapped yet another thermostat but this time OEM. 10 minutes later I had heat again.

some time back

the big "C" and not Chevy... had a recall of ten's of thousands of defective thermostats....
the first time it opened,, the bridge bent and caused the valve to remain open.. till replaced..
