65 Ford f100 grill

Well new to this site. Just recently acquired a very nice 65 ford f100 truck. It currently has a 66 grill. I am searching for a nice 65 grill prefer aluminum if possible. If any one has any they are willing yo sell or turn me onto one I would really appreciate it.

I believe I have a 65 aluminum grille. What condition would you like it in? As is? Cleaned? or would you like it polished to a show quality shine? Do you want a complete grille, with headlight buckets and headlight doors/bezels?
I see your a newbie so contact me at 951-306-7805
Where in Ca. are you?

Dave, are you going white, or the chrome powdercoat? I've been curious how the fake chrome looks. I bought the kit to do it myself, but haven't played with it yet.

Eric, I want to take a look at the samples, kinda interested in how close the anodized dull sheen coat looks, as well as the white and chrome. Was going to have the aluminum grille on my 65 chromed and told by platter best to chrome a steel grille because less likely to show flaws on the soft aluminum metal over time due to road debris?

Painted steel and anodized aluminum grilles are the same: F100/750 & B500/750 (School Bus).

September 1965: Ford obsoleted the 1965 grilles, replaced them with the 1966 grilles for use as "service part replacements."

If Gangstakr is offering you a 65' aluminum grille, straight AND polished,,,,,, pull the $$$ out of your pocket and thank him. Polishing one alone, is a pain in the a?? That is if you can find one, let alone one that is usable. A 65' grille is a 65' ONLY item.
Ask him to send you pics of his work. A grille is like a hood ornament, its the first thing that is seen.
Good luck.

Powder coated '65 steel grille. $250 including sand blasting at Miller Powder Coating in Rhonert Park, CA. Powder is RAL 9010, a good approximation of Wimbledon White. Also heard that RAL1013 is good match.

Seen this in the truck for sale section. Price isn't bad. Probably be able to sell some parts off of it to offset the purchase of the grill. . Doug

Pleasantly surprised; took the 65 steel grille to "Powder Coat' in Santa Cruz; customer reviews are favorable; although, I will not be able to determine workmanship until pick up Friday 11/30, charged $150, went w/ the RAL 9010, could not find a color that resembled the anodize aluminum .

Considering removing the 65 Aluminum grille I had stripped the anodize, sanded, polished then applied an aerosol can of clear some 10 years ago and it's about time for a redo; meantime, temporarily replace with the powder coated grille.
