Pay when I order or when I take delivery?

I have a PCO and certificate from EAA. They expire 1/2/19. If I order in December, I assume I won't get to use these offers?

Are you borrowing? My credit union would not allow me to fully execute the loan documents (get a check from them) until the dealership had the vehicle from the factory. Beyond that, no way in hell would I want to pay one dime for a vehicle I haven't even laid eyes on.

Not borrowing, but thats a good point. I need to find one in stock somewhere that I want, but all of them are missing one or two options that are deal killers for me. Not many Lariats with LEDs and power steps that I've found. Thanks for the quick response.

Order, your PCO can be extended. I went through this when my PCO was originally going to expire 10/1. It is "incentive protected" by Ford, your dealer should know how to do this...if they don't, find a new dealer. And god no, don't pay a cent until keys in hand.

I ordered my truck 1 week before the PCO offer expired. I placed a $500 deposit down on the order which locked in the PCO (at least that is how the dealer explained it). Took delivery 10 weeks later and used the PCO, and negotiated a few extra $1000 off the deal. Financing was arranged when i went in to pick it up....not before. Credit is solid so wasn't worried about getting a good interest rate / term with my down payment.

You have the color I'm looking for. Can't find a single one within 200 miles in that combo.

I ordered my truck before the PCO was even a thing. I found out about it while my truck was being build, and received a PCO that expired on 7/9. My truck wasn't here yet, and I had already ordered it of course, so I asked the dealer if I could go ahead and do the paperwork on the truck to lock in my PCO. They reworked the original deal somehow to make it seem like I ordered it that day to lock it in, and then I did the final paperwork upon delivery.

You can only use one of the two of those since they are both direct/private cash offers. They cannot be stacked like public offers (rebates). Use the one of greater value of the two. Negotiate your best deal and then tell them you have the private cash offers. As long as you order before they expire, they'll be protected as others have mentioned. You shouldn't pay anything until the truck arrives. If they request any good faith deposit, make sure its refundable.

Thanks for clarifying all of that. Saved me from looking like a moron when I walk into the dealership.

The USAA $250 cash offer also states “may not be used with other Private offers” but there was no problem stacking it with my $3,000 PCO and Ford $500 cash back rebate.

Others have stated they used the EAA $750 cash Offer combined with X-plan, $500 Ford cash and $3,000 PCO.

If you join EAA today, 10/16 then in 60:days 12/15 order a truck, the dealer should be able to lock in price, rebates and EAA cash rebate and use X-plan even if truck arrives in February 2019. As long as you make order BEFORE incentives and rebates expire.

The USAA above is a Bonus Cash, not a Direct Offer like the EAA Certificate. The Certificates cannot be stacked. Possibly there is/was an EAA Bonus Cash offer???

Ford makes it confusing.

The EAA email TWICE states it’s a Bonus Cash Offer, then in the fine print describes it as Direct Offer that may not be combined with any Private, Conquest or Commercial Offers.

The USAA Offer Code email states it’s a $250 Bonus Cash Offer. Then in the fine print states it “may not be used with other Private Offers or Final Pay”.

I was able to apply the $250 USAA Offer with a $3,000 PCO. Then when they tried to apply the $750 EAA Offer it was rejected. I don’t know if the conflict was the $250 EAA or the $3,000 PCO that rejected the $750 EAA Offer.

As I stated, others have reported that they were able to use the $750 EAA and a $3,000 PCO together.

Here’s an example of a member who recently was able to stack the EAA $750 with a $3,000 PCO

My dealer told me specifically the EAA offer was Direct Cash and conflicted with my $3k PCO. I could only use one or the other. Neither had any impact or baring on the public rebate/bonus offers. I take it as any offer that is specifically assigned to you cannot be stacked. My EAA had my name on it, just like my PCO.

Never blindly believe what you read on the internet. Especially on a free and open discussion forum.

Not saying it didn't happen, and if it did, good for him! But I always read forums with some salt nearby
