Plugging firewall holes?
Having deleted the factory A/C, I now have several holes in the firewall to plug. There's a large fitting at the top in the center that the refrigerant lines went through. I can make a solid insert to plug that. There are also two 1-1/4" diameter holes down low where the heater hoses went through. Their location is different than the non-A/C holes, which had rubber plugs in them. Too bad they're not big enough to plug the old holes. Any ideas on where to get a rubber plug/grommet to fill those holes? I'd rather not weld then up, at least not now. I'm looking for something more permanent and attractive than duct tape.

FLgargoyle i had the same problem with my 67 Mustang. it was a factory ac car, but i don,t have any ac parts. i went to my local hardware store and i went to the plumbing section. they have solid rubber plugs that have a bolt and nut that goes thru the center of them. find one close to the size of the hole you want to fill and tighten the bolt/nut. some auto parts store might also have the same thing.

I'm assuming you want to plug them without doing any welding??
After carefully measuring the inside diameter of the holes, find yourself a good industrial supply and ask them for Blind Grommets.............
If you have no success finding them locally, you can probably order them online, but may end up with more than you need.
