Talk me out of 35s on 18” wheels

F350 6.2l CCLB 3.73 single axle. 1.5” front level kit. Stock 18” wheels and tires currently. Truck is almost 2 years old and 15,000 miles. I don’t tow a lot. I was thinking about getting some new wheels and 35’s to freshen it up. If no one can talk me out of it what offset on the wheels? Maybe someone who has done it can talk me out of it or into it? Pros and cons? Thanks in advance!

There are stock tire options almost at 35, so 35’s are no big deal, even on stock wheels. If 35 makes you happy I’d think about the stock wheel, since you already have the 18’s. Regardless of stock or aftermarket wheel you should see no downside with 35’s so long as you keep it 12.5 wide or narrower.

also, prepare yourself to ignore dumb remarks... ^^^

Do it. Less wheel more tire looks great on these trucks and will give you a better ride.

My 2018 has 35s on 20s and my 2019 will have 17s or 18s on 37s.

Read this:
Carli Blog: Tires and Wheels: How Do They Affect My Ride??

35s on 20s = harsh ride. Throw in some performance shocks and you have an even more jarring ride. Ask me how I know.

Check out this member's new truck with 18s: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...d-bumpers.html Looks GREAT.

As soon as my stockers wear out, I will be getting a set of 285/75R18's. Basically 35x11.5. Most likely Yokohama Geolander A/T G015.

It will feel more sluggish and handling will be squishier. Braking distance is longer. But it will look better.

I just went with 35/12.5r18 Nitto Trail Grapplers and a 0 offset wheel. I really like the look, and the ride. Dealing with the TPMS issue, but that is a seperate can-of-worms. Can't get the dealer to adjust my TPMS threshold, and I don't have Forscan.

Pulled my machined aluminum 20s with Michelins off my new F250 6.7 almost immediately. Went with 18" 35x12.5s. They ride better and look a lot better than the rubber bands it came wth.

I had that size and was very happy. I had Cooper AT/3's. Actually I still have them on the stock 18's in my shed. I took them off to go with 37's on the stock 20's. The downside is slight rubbing. So I would NOT talk you out of 35's on 18's. They fit perfectly and look great.

I started out by upgrading my 18" stock wheels with 35x12.50x18 nitto ridge grapplers. I liked that look but I decided I wanted a more aggressive look so I went with an 18x9 -12 offset Ultra "hunter" wheel and I love this setup.

Are the 37’s worth it for you? Nitto makes a 37x11.50 Ridge Grappler with a less aggressive tread than a M/T...wonder if they would rub on a good 2.5” level.

285/75r18s

I'm very happy with my 18s and 285/75r18s. I have a F350 CCLB with 285/75r18 duratracs on Method 18" wheels, 18+ offset. These on my winter tires. The 18+ offset keeps the tires in the fender and cuts down the amount sprayed on the truck. For summer in run 295/65r20s on stock 20s. I prefer the look of the 18s.
