Pics of stock 1999 F250 Rear suspension?!!!1

Hi guys, I just got a really nice 1999 F250 super duty, I was really wanting a camper for it and picked one out I liked from Facebook Marketplace and the truck the guy has is smushed to the ground by this 12 foot truck camper... I know my super duty was used for either camper and def at one point a 5th wheel from the holes in the bed and plugs and camper tie downs in the front and it seems to be a lot more stout then other trucks I see... I dont know how to tell if my suspension has been upgraded as I have no idea what im looking at! If anyone has a super duty thats a 1999 f250 and can post pics of the rear suspension from the side please that would help me out so much! I will go take a pic and add it to my post in less then 5 mins so please look back if you read this in the mean time, going out to take pic now!

I think you need more posts before you can attach pictures (10 or so maybe?).

I thought it was 5 posts for pics, so try again. If not, reply to this post and a few others to burn off the count.

Mine is an '03 F-350. Lets start with the F-350 vs F-250... The rear blocks between the axle and the spring pack are 2" taller in an F-350. That's it. Everything else is badges, and you don't need no stinking badges. So you can take care of 2" of squat by getting F-350 blocks and new U-bolts for your truck.

But wait, that's not all!. What you really want is the camper package. This is the heaviest spring-rate rear springs and the factory sway bar. The heaviest spring-rate springs include an auxiliary spring which sits on top of the rear spring pack. So when you can post pics of your rear springs, they will be easy to spot if you have them. But the aux spring also came on other springs. No aux spring, no camper package.

The sway bar could be ordered in some cases without the camper package, but the camper package always came with the sway bar. Do you have a rear sway bar? If not, then you do not have the camper package. If you do have the sway bar, then you might have the package.

is that enough pics to tell? Its got 140k owned by an old man before i got it and he towed a 5th wheel.. I assumed it was upgraded a bit.. i wanted to buy this 12 foot camper and the guy selling it had a newer 2001 f250 and his truck was so squatted i was shocked.. I bought it thinking it was a beast so to see it smushed down was just sad.. I dont mind doing the work to make it so i can put a camper on it as big as they come i signed up to pay for it for 4 years so Im going to use it and make it super nice.

I see the auxiliary springs and a sway bar end link. It is very possible you have the camper package.

Everything also looks factory to my not fully trained eye, except for the wiring hanging all over the place.

Here you go, stock suspension with a bit of patina. No sway bar on mine, truck has off-road package, snow plow package and trailer towing package.

It looks like yours has taller rear blocks, and you have one less leaf in the main spring pack. I don't know if those differences are due to camper package or not though.

gosh guys thank you all so much... yeah the wiring.. I live in Salem Oregon and went to Portland to look at a camper and was only in one of the malls there for 1 hour and came out and everything had been cut and someone stole the plugs, and stinger off my truck thus the wiring.. It's so cool there are so many willing to help and chime in! I did see a f250 today the same year and it appears i have an extra leaf spring the one on top.. Ill take better pics! This guy whos f250 was squashed with the 12 foot camper was beat to hell and pretty junky so maybe thats why.. I did get a quote on air bags at Les Shwab and they wanted 850 bucks! yikes, i found them online for 200.. Ill take a better pics. Thanks again!
