Higher fuel consumption when turn on ac is this normal please help

 

There will of course be a somewhat increased fuel consumption when using AC as the engine has to drive the AC compressor. If the fuel consumption is massively higher with AC on, it may indicate a problem with the AC, compressor or even idler pullies or tensioner which are failing and giving increased drag when they receive a higher load with AC on.
