Can't Get my 3rd Key to Program
I'm unable to successfully program my 3rd Integrated Keyhead Transmiiter, which I intend to use as my daily key and save my 2 originals as spares. I've been through the process outlined on pages 76 and 77 in the January 2018 owner's manual (2nd printing) which I believe is the latest. I've done this several times, but when I attempt to start the truck, the message "No Key Detected" appears in the center of the instrument panel display. Any one have tips on how to make this succeed? I got this key from the dealer today, he cut it for me based on one of my originals, but I told him I would program it since I had read the above procedure and thought I could do it. Guess I'm not doing something right though.
Here's what I'm doing:
1) With truck off, insert one of the original keys into the ignition and turn until the instrument panel lights up, but don't start the engine. Leave it like that for a minimum of 3 seconds, but no longer than 10 seconds, then turn off the ignition and remove the first key.
2) Insert the other original key and repeat the process.
3) Remove this second original key and insert the new "to be programmed" key. Wait a minimum of 3 seconds. but no more than 10 seconds to insert it, then turn on the ignition as before. Keep it on for at least 6 seconds, then remove it from the ignition. No luck though when I then try to start the truck.
Does anyone see what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

So 70+ views of this thread and no one sees anything wrong with the programming procedure I'm using? Me either, but it sure as hell isn't working. Guess I'll have to try it again at the stealership on their service drive with a service advisor in the cab with me. Perhaps that's what's needed.

My 3rd brown line matches exactly what you show in post #8, but my new key doesn't match that, i.e. it's not a "G" at the end, but another letter. Dealer is about an hour away, but I'll be seeing them next week. Just curious, is the key code the 5 digit number printed directly under the large barcode on the white paper tag attached to the key ring with the original key? Thanks for all your help Paul.

i agree give it som time like closer to 10 seconds. It took me several tries before mine work but I finally got it. I bought my Key FOB off EBay.
