Fair pricing on leftovers?

Fair pricing on leftovers?
I am looking at a new truck and trying to decide what to go with. Local dealer has a leftover 2016 F350 Platinum dually (diesel). This was before the MY changeover as I understand and with some 2019 trucks starting to get to lots or be scheduled, it's now SUPER leftover.
Anyone have any idea what a fair discount for a 2016 leftover would be at this point? I was getting offers of 7000-10000 off "leftover" 2017s depending on configuration. To me it seems like 25% or more should be reasonable for a 2016 at this point, but I don't think they're getting Ford support on these.
Any thoughts? Anyone get any pricing recently when buying a '17 that could give me an idea?
Thank you!

I don't know if this will help you or not but I just bought a leftover 17 f350 that had an msrp of 61,000 and paid 51,000, I felt like I got a good deal and was able to get more truck for less than the 2018 STX's I was looking into. What I do know is that for me, the savings would have to be astronomical to get me into a 16' over a 17 or 18. The redesign is such a better truck in just about every way.

I've gotta be a little picky about configuration as I am looking for a diesel crew cab long bed - not that common a truck - but I need it to tow a ~12k lb horse trailer pretty regularly. Need to circle back with the locals, if they'll do the '16 for 35% off MSRP it's a better deal than buying a leftover 17 XLT.

I would go for the 2017 no matter what personally. A 2016 looks pretty much like a 2000...there wasnt that many changes outwardly except the front clip. In 5 years you'll have a truck that looks almost 21 years old. It will be harder to sell and the value will drop faster than the 17.
Just how I would look at it personally.

It looks like based on the trade in for a '16 350 in excellent condition, around $52k or 25% off MSRP would be right. That being said - it would be the difference between a truck that can tow 21k gooseneck and one that can tow 14,600 for me for the same price, so in terms of what I need the truck for the 16 still seems like a better deal.
I'm only getting offers for 5-7k off 4x4 powerstroke 250s in the New England region. If anyone has a recommendation for a dealer in the northeast that's willing to deal, I'm all ears. Needs to be 164" wheelbase for the tow rating. Local dealer has one but is stuck at 7k off and I need more like 10-12 to make the numbers work to replace my 17yo truck that works fine but is getting tired.

What was the purchase price + what where the rebates? I am looking at a holdover 2017 F-250 Lariat in the Cleveland area and the dealer is offering A plan less $600 but there is only $3,500 in rebates ($1,500 National & $2,000 Ford Motor Credit) and that just seems low to me. The purchase price seems fair almost 8k off sticker, it just seems like the rebates suck here at the moment. I feel like as an 2017 holder over it needs to be alot closer to the $15k off sticker you are talking than the $11k they are talking.
