My new truck

Hello Everyone. I bought it October 2016. After poking around this website ever since purchasing the truck last year. I figured I should join and trying to contribute/help in my own way. Was the 1st one locally back then (was fresh of the transporter) so I had to educate a lot of people about it back then. Starting to see more but still not very common. Was picking up my 2010 F150 5.4 after major engine repair. That morning my old F150 never stood a chance. Salesman threw me the key....go for spin. That was it. 2017 F250 6.7 lariat

As it sits now. Replace the crappy contitrac 18 »/wheels with KO2 on Platinum 20• wheels. Happy with the look and stance. 2 weeks after owning the truck I ordered the F150 running board brackets. Ordered 1 then 5. Once the parts guy understood it would fit my truck. He said no way it will. F150 is aluminum body u know ....lol.

So have you had any issues you care to share?
Here are a few questions for a 1-year owner:
1. How many miles do you have on it?
2. What kind of mileage have you been getting loaded and unloaded?
3. Can you list some of the options you have on your truck?
4. Are you in a cold climate? I'd like to know if had any issues with the cold last winter.

Beautiful truck! I'm thinking about getting the F150 step brackets for mine too. Could you take a picture of the step with the door open looking down at the step? Thanks!

My wife is having a hard time getting into my Lariat with 20” tires and the standard height running boards. Been looking for some sort of aftermarket add on step but I’m sure if they make one it would look horrible hanging below the standard running board bracket height.

What about putting the F150 brackets on, pulling the boards up higher, then trying some type of auto step that come down below the boards. Just looking for a few inches of help since will be our only vehicle when we head south for the winter.

Any ideas?

Take a look at the location of the steps in the pictures above. The F150 brackets move the steps up closer to the body.

1. 31000k/19000m working on a list of few items with dealership to be resolved mostly all cosmetics
Never lost a day yet because it had to be in for mechanical repairs, just oil changes
2. This will be metric, I'm in Canada! Best I've seen below 11l/100 but usual is 13-15l/100. Towing 6000-7000lbs cargo v-nose is 20-22l/100. I might've lost 1l/100 when i upgraded to 20" and KO2 (stock size) My previous 2010 F150 5.4 6Speed would get 29l/100 with the same route same trailer same tools. That puts a smile on my face every time.
3. Lariat ultimate package, camper package, was just off the transporter. It qualified for employee pricing for the last day of the month when it showed up. It really help to swallow that $$ pill. Would I change a few things if I had ordered yes!
folding jumper seat is not my favourite, I miss my f150 center console with all that storage, upfitter should be standard!! (started to look into that)
4. Im near Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada. so yes it gets cold forecast is -30c/-22f with the wind for tomorrow am. I know the truck doesn't feel the wind but I do so those heated seats come handy. At -17c or below I plug in for about 3hrs before start up the( took 30mins to find it the 1st time) We live on gravel road 1.5 mile away from highway so I use the drive to cool down on the way back home and warm up while i drive away in the morning (liking the gauges in my screen tranny temp, engine temp and TPMS)
Never had a false/bad start like some experienced. One thing i have to watch for with higher mounted running board is when i park overnight i tried to go around and clean them up otherwise that slushy mess will freeze. And would create a disaster Im sure

Overall very impressed and very happy with the truck!
