Tire size question

I know this has probably been asked 100 times ... but...

I have just put a 2.5" lift and want to put on 35" tires.

truck is a 2002 F250 crew cab, long bed, lariat.

I am looking at AR172 rims. they say they have 4.25" back space and -12mm offset. plus 35x12.50 toyo open country AT II extreme.

Im worried about lock to lock and hitting the leaf spring with the tire. Any comments would be appreciated...

Right now I am running 295/75/R16's with lots of room.

Thanks,
Andy

You will be just fine. Those 35's are not a whole lot bigger than the 295's and you will be moving the wheel out away from the springs with the new -12mm wheels.

First, I ran some 315/75/16s (35s) on a 16x8 wheel with a 2.7 inch level up front. Rubbed the leaf spring pretty bad when I turned left. Didn't rub at all to the right unless I was turning and going over a big bump. Then I decided to run some 16x10 wheels with the 35s to stop it from rubbing the leaf springs. It did that, but the tires were too far out now so they would try to rip out my inner fender on either side when I turned past half turn. Now I have 305/70/16 (33s) on a 16x10 wheel with no rubbing at all. Will they fit? Probably, but if it's like my truck, they'll probably rub a little. However, if the offset and backspacing is just right, you might just get a perfect fit. Let me know if they do fit cause I miss the look of the 35s and the low rpms on the highway lol!
