Extended Warranty

The wife and I ordered a F350 SRW shortbed King Ranch with most of the options. She really wanted the massage feature.....The build date on the truck is August 8th so we are getting close.

So with all the electronics these trucks have how many opted for the extended warranty?

Thanks

Tony P.

If you did can you PM me with the cost please so I am educated when it comes time with the dealer.

There was a huge discussion about this not long ago, real good info. Scroll back a few pages and look for "extended warranty".

I have a friend that bought a 2016 and went with Good Sam, the travel club I think thats the name. He bought there warranty for right at $1000 and sez its the same as the one from Ford. Anyone know anything about this or tried it?

I just bought my 17 F250 on 7/29 and I opted for the extended warranty, especially with all the electronics. More than worth it too me, my extended warranty on my certified pre-owned 07 JEEP saved my hide twice and there were no electronics on it

Thanks for that flood Ford link. It quoted me $2500 for an 8 year 100k mile warranty, that seems pretty good to me.

I used Champion Ford. They were less than the other two (Flood and Ziegler). But not by much. Take the online quote with you to the dealer when you sign the papers on your new truck. I did that but they wouldn't even come close. I figured if they were within $100 of the online quote I would buy it from the local dealer. They tried to push their AutoNation warranty instead. No thanks, I wanted the real Ford one.

So I got to thinking. The extended warranty technically doesn't kick in till after the original 3/36 and 5/60 mile warranties are over. So I punched in a 2014 f250 with 36000 miles into their calculator and it came out to roughly the same price. This method works perfectly for me since I'm averaging about 12k miles a year. So really there is no reason for me (I'm sure this goes for others as well) to make a decision just yet. I can wait till the end of my 3/36 and decide and by then I may not even have the truck.

I went with the 100,000 mile bumper to bumper on my 17 6.2 it was 1100 dealer claimed that's lowest price because they dont work off commission I really don't know if price would be different with power stroke or not
