The first six months of sales figures are out. Ford is doing quite well considering that they don't yet have a player in the midsized market.

 

Cars sales are AWFUL --- in steady decline. Being replaced by overpriced trucks and SUVs (consumers are getting gouged on EVERY truck, SUV purchase). The party is almost over as prices continue to climb and used car prices (depreciation already in heavy upward trend) fall.

Many of the newer trucks qualify for the gas guzzler tax (but they're currently exempt from federal laws). Millenials and most of the younger buyers don't want trucks, they don't even want cars.
