my salesman told me that ordering was going to stop at the end of April if I remember correctly.

I was able to get my order in a week ago, but haven't heard anything since, so I believe they're still open.

 

Someone posted a similar claim 1-2 weeks ago...... Only to later learn here and verified with his dealer that that info is dead wrong.

Dealers can be epic morons.

Orders are closed for F150 (which some dealers apply to all F series)

Orders for F250/SDs are scheduled to close 9/1/2017

 

My order for our CCSB F250 was placed this past Monday, pulled on Tuesday. There was confusion at many dealerships including mine. As stated in the previous post, it is the F150's that they have stopped taking orders for. The order went through fine!

Don't take anything for granted. I ordered a vehicle the end of last year - not the SuperDuty - and the dealer told me for 2 and a half months it would be here in a couple of weeks. Months later they fessed up to they were not taking custom orders yet but wanted to find me something. I don't use that dealer anymore after buying 4 new vehicles from them in the past 12 years. This was not Ford but I would question any uncertainty. I might start with Ford chat - they should have an idea.

 

I actually went on Ford chat, they told me my dealership was still able to order, I printed that out and it to the dealer... thats when they realized it was the F150's that had closed.

But I like an excuse to utilize the word "epic".

Since I'm planning to order in the next 30-45 days these things catch my attention. My heart stopped on the first one......... now I yawn

 

Last week I was told that ordering a 2017 F550 would continue through the year since Ford was not planning any changes for that model.

With that being said. You can't order any variation of Caribou. That is closed.

 

Interesting looking at the varied order v delivery lead times different people experience. I placed my order (F250 Lariat CC FX4 6.2) with the dealer on 4/08. Order went to Ford on 4/12. Truck was on the dealers lot 5/13.....30 days.
