My Job 1 cup holders seem to work great. I use them every day, must be you guys are putting different cups in yours. For me, it's just bottled water.
I wouldn't mind the extra USB ports, but I don't care enough to change.
Yeah it doesn't bother me but my wife is the one to told our sales man the other day when I went in to look at a dually they had and he was the one who got them to warranty them. And since I know the parts guy he was the one who is making sure they are job 2 ones. But I finally figured out its her coffee mug is what pushed them in. The only thing I have drank in my truck has been bottle water.
Trucks built from Feb 20th on are job 2. Cupholder design went from rubber detents that got stuck in to plastic and USB's were added to the back of the center console.
Rick just got back to me as he was out for a few days on vacation. He's working on part numbers and pricing now. I'll let you all know what he comes up with...
Could someone post pictures of Job#1 and Job#2 cup holders?
If it is here somewhere, just point me to the right post.
My F-250 was built on Feb. 16th (Job#1?).
My neighbor just bought a new F-250 and his look the same as mine.
Guys if you truck is still under warranty (which most of us should be) you can get the job 2 cupholder replaced by the dealer. I did it on my truck when two of the rubber holders got compressed and never came back out. All you have to do is take your truck in and tell them you want the new style. My dealer didn't even question it.
Depends on the dealer. Many will not. I don't believe the new one's part number supersedes the old one which would be the only indication that is was a replacement as opposed to a revision.

When my dealer said that they would replace it I told him they might have an updated part to replace it with. He said he would look in to it and when I went to pick up my truck it had the new style in it. I would say anyone who tries hard enough can get them replaced under warranty if their rubber is compressed like mine was.

Actually I am thinking it does. Today I played with the parts guide trying to fine the usb ports, harness and cup holders it only has one part number for vin specific trucks. I could be wrong but I think ford did away with job 1 cup holders Like I said I will be able to find out on Thursday thats when mine should be in. And harness and usb ports might be very costly since you have to buy the module for usb and usb wires. I looked all over for them and nothing set in stone (since f150 has a different center console harness). So with that being said I placed the order anyways to see if they are actually vin specific to the parts guide. And these parts are complete panels not just the cup holder parts. and these are all the options it showed for just cup holders.
