Those of you who have white gold, how easy does it scratch and how much does it show dirt? Or how bad does it show scratches?
i have been set on a black and caribou but the more I think about spending 70k I feel like I should look at a color that I still like and see how much it shows marks?
I just got it today but it's a white gold KR and I left behind and a 2015 tuxedo black F150 and i have to say I it may be the best decision ever. Drove it 80 miles home and it still looked like it just came out of detailing. You know that any black vehicle shows some dirt. I believe this will be an excellent color. The tux black wore me out. It showed every little scratch, fleck of dirt, pollen, everything. No way white gold will be anywhere near that bad. Plus I have gotten more comments on this truck in a few hours than any previous truck. I love, love, love black vehicles but I say go white gold.
My White Gold F-350 doesn't show dirt easily. I probably don't have enough miles on it or in the right conditions to pick up chips or scratches. I did have a lot of 3M ClearBra applied to my truck to prevent that sort of thing.
I live on and drive my Super Duty on a lot of dirt roads. This is why I purchased the white gold color. I have an 05 Dodge that is a very similar color and it also has done well over the years not showing the dirt and mud (or the many scratches that it has)
I have white gold. I picked it for a light color and not show dirt. I live at the end of a dirt road in Arizona. I also regularly visit construction site's. If it were not for my black bed cover or the windows, you wouldn't know it was covered in dust.
My county road is getting redone and its down to dirt and mud this is what 3 weeks of driving on it looks like. .
This is exactly what my truck looks like. And I've had the same experience. It just doesn't get that "dirty" look very easily.
3K miles in and I find I take it to the car wash more to get the interior cleaned rather than the usual with my last two trucks (one black, one white) which was to get the dirt off the exterior.
