F450 Wandering... Anyone have a fix?
So my F450 finally arrived and she's a beauty! Hopped in her in Halifax NS at 3pm at the dealership and 2 days, a snow storm and 2500 miles later landed in Daytona FL. Beautiful truck but she sure wanders and catches all the ruts on the 95! I expected it, but its worse than thought, my copilot hopped in er and caught the rumble strip and near put it in the woods! Has anyone had good luck in taking some of this wander out? Maybe 22" wheels with AT Tires? Different Tires? I realize that the other tires will lower my weight rating but would like to figure out some sort of solution. We also have a 350 KR Dually and it handles 3x better.

Congrats very nice truck!! do yourself a favor and replace those tires toyo make 2 good tires i have the m920a and there a great tire i can let go of the wheel doing 65mph no problem no wandering at all. Maybe to aggressive for you but the other tire from toyo looks good as well.
The factory tires are hard as he**

The Conti's will break in with a few thousand miles on them and wander less but will always follow the road to some degree. If it were me, I'd likely do the 22" AT option on American Force wheels. But, that's a lot of money to spend on something brand new. I've been watching and waiting for someone to make an aluminum 20" that will clear the 450's brakes but so far there is only a steel option in 20".

I guess I'm the only one who hasn't experience difficult wandering issues with my 450 and I've hit the rumble strip too on some road trips. I'm at 2200 miles so far.
On my way home yesterday I'd reach back and play with my boy's hair for a second or so and I noticed that the truck would stray out of the middle of lane a little bit when I turned around vs doing the same thing in my audi.
Is this phenomenon what folks are calling "wander"?

Also i was going to say like Rodney give them around 2000 miles and they should get better but since you drove from Edmonton to Florida you must have that on them by now.

Fuel Wheels now makes a direct bolt 20" wheel that I hope to be ordering soon. They are a bit pricey but believe cheaper then American Forces, and direct bolt. I've been speaking with JK Motorsports about them but sure others can order them too. Hoping for a smoother ride and less wandering! I did ditch the factory HSRs for Continental Scandinavia HD3s - great tread and traction, same ride, perhaps a bit more wandering but still breaking in.

I run 80/70 in mine and only notice the wandering on really worn in roads. 4k miles from Denver to Orlando and back pulling our 43' 5th wheel and only one moment where it woke me up going through a construction zone.

9K on my F450 XLT dually and I run 110psi in all 6 tires since I full time with a heavy fifth wheel. Pulling the rig or driving without it (its our only vehicle) I haven't noticed this wandering issue others speak of. Stock Continental tires and other than some harshness on rough roads due to max tire pressure I'm not sure why some are having white knuckle experiences with their 450's and I'm not.
