Thanks for the reply. I didn’t want to do any finishing work to it until I new it wouldn’t be an issue.

Sunday progress. Happy about some solid work this weekend. Got the front cowl vent out and solid panel in and metal worked.

love how you fixed the rear fenders, I have the same problem just hard to find fenders to cut up at a decent price.

Yeah I had to travel 4 hours each way to get them and they weren’t as cheap as I wanted but got some other pieces thrown in for the same price so it worked out.

On another note I finally got my front roll pan, lower door skins, and a few other goodies to continue metal work. Just need some days off work to get them worked on.

Finally got a day to myself to work on the truck. Got the ds fender metal worked out and new epoxy primer on it so I can start body work. Also got the front roll pan turn signal indents cut out and smoothed. Going with an led headlight with the turn signal in it already so no sense leaving the stock junk.

Can’t seem to load pictures. When I click the mountain looking button it doesn’t go anywhere. Anyone know why? Thanks

Read you entire thread, great work. I now think I know what the angle piece of metal may be for under the seat of my 55/56. Looking at your pictures it looks like that piece would be used in a panel truck to capture the wood boards that make up the rear floor. Must have been Ford just used one floor pan. I can't see any use for it in a pickup except maybe as a way to keep junk from behind the seat rolling forward?
OOps, edit. I know that is wrong now. I am talking about the sheet metal riser that is behind the channel locks in the pic...

Thanks for that. Yeah in the panels they used a sheet of plywood since planks like a pickup would allow exhaust fumes through. It did fit into the channel in front and I think I had to drill out those screws mostly. They were as rusty as the rest of this thing.

Finally got pictures uploaded of the front roll pan turn signal indent work. Apparently through google I can’t on my new phone but safari I can. It’s hard enough for me to figure this way out sometimes without new issues. Haha.
Next will be the ds fender body work. That’ll take a bit more work.

It’s Scott. And thank you. Body line is a hair sharp but that’s easy enough to feather out.

What type of lights are you planning on running since you deleted the park/signal lights?

There are a couple led ones I have seen with the signal integrated. Haven’t gotten them yet

Got the ds fender body work smoothed out and in some high build primer today. Going to attempt to start on the ps tomorrow and finish it this week. Hood is next and I think it’s gonna be a chore. Gotta dustless blast it tomorrow maybe and see how much it’s hididng with bondo.
