94 bronc-0-swap

i swapped a 302 from the 70's in to a 1994 bronco. it's all good as far as the engine is concerned but the trans will not shift right (shifts late). can i hook up the ecu up to the motor some how for a rpm reference to the trans? would that work?

p.s. don't bring up smog or any bs on why i did it. it's done and runnin' please help me take it from here.

So you have the EFI installed on this motor?

no, not an efi motor. had a gas carb on it and now it has a propane setup

this should've gone in the tranny section

Your SOL with out that ecu and efi. thats how the tranny gets its info from sensors on the motor and the rear diff. tell me you still have the 8.8 rear diff in there also right!!

Yep.. you now need to install a non computer controlled transmission or simply put the EFI setup back on the motor.

What trans is it? AODE or 4R70W or E4OD?

Stand-alone controllers are available. Not cheap or free, but imo a better bet than a trans swap which may involve a lot of fiddling with things like cross members and DS.
