Hummer5:
My son has a 2000 F-250 with Buckstop Baja front and their rear bumper gray. Has lights in the bumper 2x each side (PIA) and two behind the grill (Hella). When everything is on its high noon and you need sunglasses. The rear bumper is not really an option for an Ex because you lose the rear sensors if you have them.
Hey Scott, is that your Ex on their website? It looks like your rig, but I thought your front grille guards were shaped different.
Yes, that's mine. He wanted to put the new style grill guard on mine since I was updating the headlights so I didn't argue.
Hummer5... I really like the Iron Bull bumpers. If you decide to go with the Iron Bull, let me know and I'll call and bust his ***** to get you a great deal.
Also, the Thule racks have worked really well for me.
I have the Thule 65" bars. I guess you could go with the longer ones since our mirrors stick out so far. I recommend the "Fairing" as well otherwise you'll really notice a whistle.
03-6L-x - As for the rear bumper, Iron Bull cuts the holes out for the rear sensors as an option. My sensors are still in and work.
i took off the entire factory rack, put the bolts back and left it. im a tall guy, and even i cant reach up there to load stuff. no water in truck at all.
I know an older thread but I just removed all of my rails to repaint and I have only put the screws back in for now, you say yours didn't leak, is that still the case? I have cleaned and waxed the roof because it looked terrible and I like the look without the rails, btw what a pain to condition to repaint!
The ProLine is what i have, love it, took it down to weld light tabs and other stuff but its awesome.
now the front bumper. Mine is built by Ranch hand and also sold on ebay under topgun truck accessories. It is a one piece brute monster with lots of areas to put lights. Mine has the optional triler hitch in front as well. Powdercoated black. AND, I have already T-boned a full size van with it,, totaled his but moved my bumper 2 cm to the right. THATS IT!! a few scratches also, sorry but, mmm mmm, Im glad I had it! I will try to post but not sure when.
Not sure what the OP ended up doing but here is another, cheaper option for putting lights on the roof. I am thinking this route for myself as the roof rack is just too impractical, especially with any amount of lift...
ARB makes both steel and an aluminum roof rack in various sizes. I really like the aluminum model, which only comes in the largest size. Mounting kits are available for most vehicles.
My rack covers the entire roof. It came w my truck. I believe its by Wilderness Racks
RE lights, my rack is covered w lights on all sides but I'm considering removing them and upgrading to LED lights all around
This may sound like a silly question, but could you measure your rack for me. I am looking to get one that fits front to rear and side to side; like yours. I am just curious if yours is the one used for Full Size vans. at 104"x63"x6"
If you could either PM me or reply in here I would appreciate it. Cheers
